Pleasant Grove Church

Pleasant Grove Church

City/Town:
Location Class:
Built: Unknown | Abandoned: 2012
Status: Abandoned
Photojournalist: Ginger Beck

So many tiny country churches have quietly existed while the hustle and bustle of the world moves on around them. On a lovely and mild winter day, I stepped through the open door of Pleasant Grove Church in Dermott. Very little furniture remains, although visitors can definitely feel the history of parishioners who once came on Sundays to sing, pray, and listen to the sermon. Although not much history is available on this church, it remains a lovely addition to Abandoned Arkansas, as so much of our history is quiet, leaving us to only speculate about the why and the how. Any information is welcome.
