Leach Bland Cemetery

Leach Bland Cemetery

City/Town:
Location Class:
Built: 1800's | Abandoned: 1990's
Status: Endangered
Photojournalist: Michael Schwarz

Leach Bland Cemetery was started in the early 1800’s, even before Houston became a town. In the late 1900’s the last person was buried on the site. Today, this cemetery sits on a small hill overgrown and fading away with time. Many headstones on the site are difficult to read, fallen over, or buried.
