Pottsville Country Cafe

Pottsville Country Cafe

City/Town:
Location Class:
Built: N/A | Abandoned: 1980's
Status: AbandonedFor Sale
Photojournalist: Michael Schwarz

It first opened as a small-town café named “Pottsville Café.” It was the only the only place to eat in town. It predates the truck plaza and the Shell station. When the original café closed it was turned into a church called Trinity Fellowship Baptist Church. When the church came to a close in the late 1990s, The building and the property repurchased by somebody who wanted to turned back into a café, renaming it to “Pottsville Country Café.”

This café sits on the edge of Pottsville for sale and abandoned. This local business probably closed in the early 2000’s.

It’s sad to see small town restaurants over run by bigger fast food chains. Hopefully through these pictures, This Café can have memories that live on forever.

There used to be a cabinet door shop right beside this place in an underground bldg. it could still be there. I'm sure they would have info if they're still there
